Welcome to MitoAction Mobile!
Welcome to MitoAction Mobile powered by Karen! Karen is an award-winning healthcare technology platform that makes it easy to track and share health information. MitoAction has partnered with Karen to deliver a mito-focused experience for our community. With MitoAction Mobile powered by Karen, you can take control over your care experience with mitochondrial disease. But how?
Here are two IMMEDIATE ways MitoAction Mobile gives you the control you need to manage your mito and get better care every single day.
(Note: We recommend you use the website version of MitoAction Mobile to set up your mobile app experience.)
1. Automatic Tracking of Symptoms and Vitals (Logs)
Once you’re registered, log into the MitoAction Mobile website to set up your symptoms and vitals tracking log. As you track symptoms and vitals over time on MitoAction Mobile, real-time charts show how your mito changes over time. You can view the charts in the mobile app and on the website.
2. Your Digital Binder
Add personal health information (PHI) files to your digital binder on our secure, HIPAA-compliant cloud. With MitoAction Mobile it’s easy to add files directly from your computer and your phone. Download the MitoAction Mobile app (after you sign up) and you’ll be able to access your PHI anywhere, anytime!
Information is Power
By tracking symptoms and vitals, you can see your experience with mito over time. That gives you better information to share with your care team so they can make better treatment decisions. By managing your PHI digital binder, you have access to all of your mito health history. Keep adding to your digital binder over time and you never have to carry a paper binder again.

About the Global Partnership
We believe mitochondrial disease needs innovation at a global scale to help everyone affected by this disease live their best life. This partnership is the first step in transforming the management and delivery of care, not only for those affected by mitochondrial disease, but the entire rare disease community.
The partnership goals include capturing critical information to help researchers and clinicians learn more about this rare disease to aid in the development of therapies, and ultimately a cure for mitochondrial disease.
MitoAction is a Boston-based nonprofit whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children, adults, and families living with mitochondrial disease through support, education, outreach, advocacy, and clinical research initiatives. Since its founding in 2005, MitoAction has served families from across the U.S. and the globe, working tirelessly to offer comprehensive, up-to-date, expert resources, information, and support at no cost to any patient, family, clinician, educator, or member of the community.
Karen (fka Care3) is the world’s first team collaboration platform for healthcare delivered in the home and community. The HIPAA compliant Karen platform helps community-based care programs operate more effectively by driving visibility and accountability for care delivered outside of health facilities. This unprecedented insight enables care teams to intervene to prevent costly outcomes such as emergency visits and hospitalizations.
